      yes.. you are mosty correct.....

i do think it is kinda sad though that someone tries to stimulate discussion and all the responses left are corrections to the origional and not actually adding or continuing the discussion.......

          It was a little wet.
A little more hail than I would have wished for.
And the fog was not so great...

          But great times.

            IT WAS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!

Not too wet.... the last 10miles it was fairly rainy but other than that not bad. There was enough moisture to keep the dust down but really only sprinkles now and then. Wish I could write more but I need to get to bed. Find a way and go next year. For $60 entry and whatever for gas/hotel/food, you can't ask for more. The scenery was beautiful, great group of people, and fun ride. Go next year.

**Thank you Rebecca for lending me a hair tie; I really do owe you =)

great write up, Rebecca...it was fun!

i was on the old BMW G/S, so took the easy splits....accidentally routed myself through that deep water crossing, oh joy. But! your first rule of dirtbiking got me through, POWER ON! :-)

hope to actually meet you on some ride somewhere, but I live over in Mendocino, my ride home afterwards on Sunday was pretty moist too.

                rubber side down!

were you riding with a brunette woman on (I think) a DR350 or something?

Gee, I wish I lived up there so I could take the long way home every so often.

                    Hi

Yes, her boyfriend had to bail out at the last minute, so I told her I'd make sure she made it. Great rider, she was right there in my mirror almost the whole way. When she wasn't, it was because we were in that goo over the pass, and I was spraying mud everywhere behind me!

that got a little white-knuckle through there!

I love it up here, but it is a bit remote. anytime you and your friends need a place to camp out on the coast let me know, I've a trailer for biker buds. I want to get up to the lost coast next, while I have those nice dirt tires on.

                      I'm in your photo album!

the guy in the orange shirt took a swim, twice, in that creek. Once going through, and once while trying to help me (sortof) .
That's me waiting on the other side of the creek for my turn.

                      Can't wait for next year!

                          I call the old beast...

                          Moby

you can guess why. In Covelo I rode the length of the gas line patting my tank and laughing like a maniac.

I could have done the whole round trip on one tank, but I wanted the ballast!

                          ;-)

                        Cool!

I am hoping somebody took a better photo of the crossing, I was concentrating bigtime...thinking...watch your line, keep that POWER on, stay left, more power, oh shite, look at that hill!, "more power, scotty!"

and then it just flew up the hill, steaming like a locomotive

I love water crossings, I gotta say. fun! Of course, if I fell over, I might change my tune.

Yeah, it's a fine line between grinning and swearing.

I should be getting some better photos from the guy in the aerostich (in your photo) soonish.
